No Exit

Photo by Patrick Jones. Mural by Guido van Helten, Reykjavik, Iceland.
These large scale murals were created in 2014 by Guido van Helten on the Loftkastalinn building in Reykjavik, Iceland. To create the murals, van Helten used photos from a 1961 Reykjavik theatre production of "No Exit" by Jean-Paul Sarte. Van Helten also painted the Girl in the Embroidered Shirt mural in Minsk, Belarus, which I saw back in May.

Background on this project can be viewed on van Helten's website here. It's great that the actress who appeared in the 1961 production was able to see the finished murals back in 2014. A bonus find was a neighboring wall on a house located across the street from the Loftkastalinn building (Seljavegur 2 in Reykjavik). The mural below was painted in 2013.
