Christmas lights in Warsaw

I am in Warsaw for the next few days, doing meetings and talks with various groups. I arrived on Sunday in time for the Christmas lights in the old city, which was rebuilt after World War II. It is quite pretty although today we have been socked in with thick fog. Hopefully tomorrow it will clear. Photos below.

This is my first visit to Poland. The photos below show the Soviet-era Palace for Culture and Science, a gift from Stalin built between 1952-1955. This building happens to be across the street from my hotel, and it is the tallest building in Poland. The view from the observation floor of the tower is quite impressive, and is highly recommended for those who visit Warsaw.
